Incubation Complete!

My website is done! It’s live and, if I do say so myself, it’s lovely. Please take a look:

One of my top objectives was to convey not only my professional experience and capabilities, but also my personality and work style. I want to be viewed as an extension of my clients’ teams, a utility player, someone who will get the job done–and get it done well–and also be easy to work with.

Now I’m on to my next task: introducing myself and my copywriting services to potential new clients. As I shift gears from brand building and content creation to market research, I’m exhilarated by the possibilities I’m pursuing with local marketing agencies, design firms and corporate communications organizations. I love the flexibility and variety that comes with being a freelance writer, but it’s also very important to me to forge strong, fruitful relationships with my clients.

Getting Ready to Hatch!

My website ( is going live by the end of this month and I’m thrilled! This is the end of a months long journey that started back in April when I started working with a graphic designer to develop my business identity package. I’ve been running my marcom writing business successfully through word-of-mouth since 2002, but this year I decided it was time to take my business to the next level.

Working on my own brand development has been exhilirating. I experienced my own work process as a “client” and went through every step, including brainstorming, concept development, fleshing out my own key messages, writing, and revising.

It’s involved a lot of upfront work, this hashing out the nitty gritty of what type of business I really want to have–who are my ideal customers? what are my dream projects? what kind of image do I want to convey? It’s been quite a time investment, but I’m much more interested in doing things WELL as opposed to FAST . . . always more efficient in the long run.
