My website (www.writemessage.com) is going live by the end of this month and I’m thrilled! This is the end of a months long journey that started back in April when I started working with a graphic designer to develop my business identity package. I’ve been running my marcom writing business successfully through word-of-mouth since 2002, but this year I decided it was time to take my business to the next level.
Working on my own brand development has been exhilirating. I experienced my own work process as a “client” and went through every step, including brainstorming, concept development, fleshing out my own key messages, writing, and revising.
It’s involved a lot of upfront work, this hashing out the nitty gritty of what type of business I really want to have–who are my ideal customers? what are my dream projects? what kind of image do I want to convey? It’s been quite a time investment, but I’m much more interested in doing things WELL as opposed to FAST . . . always more efficient in the long run.
